Team Finland looks to dominate

With NHL rookies Laine, Aho, Pulujarvi teams will struggle to contain their offense

The Finns are looking to capitalize on a premier 1997 junior group in the BRHL WJC this year. With NHL rookies Laine, Aho and Pulujarvi leading the offense, the Finns will be difficult to contain. Will they have enough depth though? Many questioned the lack of Eeli Tolvanen on this roster (USHL and top 5 rated player for 2017 first round), but was ruled ineligible for the tourney. University of Denver recruit and former first rounder Henrik Borgstrom will be looked to on the 2nd line to lead a lesser known, but effective group with Petrus Palmus and Janne Kuokannen.

With a solid defense led by NHL draftees Juolevi and Saarijarvi and top ten rated players like Valimaki, the Finns should have a strong two way game.

The goaltending is a bit of an unknown, but Marcus Ruusu had a strong start to this season and will be leaned on heavily if the Finns are to bring the gold home.

Let the games begin!
