Playoff Daily Recap

CBJ    4

Sens   1

After losing home ice advantage with a split in Columbus the Bluejackets went into Ottawa and took it right back with what appears to be a convincing victory....or was it? The Sens put double-digit shots on goal in all 3 periods for a total of 39 for the game but as been the case all playoffs, J.Markstrom was there for Columbus only allowing 1 first period goal. The bigger picture however was that GM Steph may have just pissed away this series by starting a fatigued D.Kuemper and he likely won't get back to 100% this year. I will be very surpirsed to see Kuemper next game and if he starts as expected in Game 5 he still won't be fully recovered. Ottawa will be looking to C.Petersen to provide them with adequate goaltending to hopefully prolong this series until Kuemper can recover from the nasty "fatigue injury". If Columbus does close this series out as expected against this short handed Sens squad it will be a very unfortunate finish to a powerhouse match-up. Columbus up 2-1
