Kirk Shuck – Best Concrete Mixer

That’s concrete, not cement.  Probably could have given him the award for best golfer, but I am pretty the scores he brags about in the chat are bullshit. Kirk also finds himself in a tie for runner-up for best Shuck. Finally, I could have also given him the award for most annoying person to trade with (“take a look at my 35 shitty prospects and let me know who you like”), but that was too obvious.

Nolan Andriuk – Best Last Name

What is that? Russian? Czech? Polish? Anyway, it’s a solid last name. He should be a pro hockey player, not a principal. Overall Nolan and his team are pretty inconspicuous. He had a great run at the beginning of the season last year, but otherwise not much noteworthy there.

Jared Mitchell – Best Technological Improvement

Seriously, the guy finally gets with the times and gets himself a smart phone and he goes from zero to hero. Since getting that phone we’ve all come to realize he’s a pretty funny guy (albeit a tad creepy – that stalker pic from the walk-a-thon was a bit much), which is great as before the phone I actually had no idea who he was. I could have also given him the award for Best Waste of a Generational Talent, with poor Sid sitting on that shit-ass team of his.

Eric Ferr – Best Eric

This one is obvious, need I say more? He doesn’t have a creepy cat fetish. I also think Eric’s team is a darkhorse for one of the top teams in the East. He has collected some seriously solid talent there, and should be a pretty strong team next year – nice work Eric.

Steve Vardy – The Best of the Best.

‘nuff said.

Greg Almeida – The Best Podcaster

He is pretty good at pronouncing names correctly, so +1 relative to the last guy. Also, his random tangents during the podcasts are great. Keep it up. I could also give him the award for bet Bostonian, but since they all suck it doesn’t really make sense.

Tyler Bell – Best Tyler

Wait, what? We have 3 Tyler’s? There is Rumpy, sober Tyler, and this guy. He could get the award for most under the radar GM. The other two Tyler’s are pretty in-your-face, as one is the Web guy and the other is, well, he’s Rumpy. Not much else to say for Tyler B except man, does his team suck.

Edit: It turns out I'm an idiot. Tyler Bell IS Sober Tyler.... Finkle IS Einhorn.

Garrett Hansford – Best Gig

Sounds like he has a pretty fun job, too bad he’s a god damn Leafs fan. The worst thing is that the Leafs are actually good. It was way more fun when they were awful for the last 50 years. Anyway, back to Garrett – I do like his little insider contributions to the chat, it’s always fun to get an inside story. I debated giving him the award for best Hansford, but honestly, I think that has to be a tie. They both approach trading the same way, and its annoying – but effective. Ask for the moon and wait till someone bites... I guess less annoying than trading with a Shuck.
