Preds    2

Flames  3

Calgary managed to even this series with a slim 1 goal win and this game was as close as the score. The hometown crowd went into an immediate frenzy just 16 seconds into the contest when Dan Hamhuis netted his 3rd of the postseason to give the Flames an early edge. Patrick Sharp scored is 4th just 1:40 later and the rout appeared to be on but the Preds managed to settle down and when Colin Wilson scored just his second of the playoffs it was game on. Michael Frolik scored in the second to tie the game as well as tie team leader Patrice Bergeron in goals this playoffs with his 8th but the Flames once again responded a short time later with Brian Gionta scoring on the power play. Yes, I said Brian Gionta on the power play! The third period proved to be a rather dull affair with the Flames in complete shut down mode and shots totalling 6-5 for the Flames and no further scoring. Of note was team scoring leader P. Bergeron of the Preds had 10 shots on goal in the game and 4 in the third period alone but Cam Talbot simply would not allow one past him. Also of note Dan Hamhuis left the game in the second and did not return with concussion like symptoms but is not expected to miss anymore time and appears to be a go for game three. Series tied at 1 heading to Nashville.
