Daily Recap
Sens 2
Devils 4
The Eastern Conference Final kicked off with the defending champs on the road to face the hometown Devils and the Devils looked more like the champs as they showed up "on time", poised, and ready to play! After 2 periods the Devils had amassed a 25 to 16 shot advantage and a somewhat comfortable 3-1 lead. That somewhat comfortable lead became pretty uncomfortable however when the outplayed Sens scored their second of the game at the 8:06 mark of the third and were 1 shot away from an improbable tieing goal. Both teams played a sound defensive third period and despite getting to within striking distance the Sens couldn't manage a final push and with Holtby on the bench for the extra attacker Kyle Brodziak buried an empty netter to end it. The Sens look to rebound trailing the Devils 1-0
