Team Slovakia Republic announces Roster
A modern tale unifying two foreign nations
Somewhere in the Czech Republic, a cry could be heard when it was announced they would have to partner up with rival nation Slovakia. It's like a tale straight from Romeo and Juliet, or the equivalent of the District 5 Ducks teaming up with the Hawks. A fierce rivalry between Charlie Conway and Adam Banks, that ends with a triple deke for the Championship.
Slovakia will be Czech Republic's own Adam Banks, as they will infuse some solid players into an already stacked roster. It's Gold or nothing for team Slovakia Republic, as the team comprised of former 1st round picks and future 1st round picks cannot lose to their inferior competition. Team Captain Filip Chytil welcomed Slovakian newcomers with a nice dish of Chicken Schnitzel, a delicacy in Slovakia. The gesture went well as members of Slovakia smiled and bowed, returning a gift of Roasted Pork with Sauerkraut. Despite these two nations not being able to understand each other verbally, they both understand the language of hockey.
Camps have been running for the last week, and the roster has been cut to 25 players. Here are the latest lines seen at practice.

Between the pipes is where team Slovakia Republic really shines. All three goaltenders could possibly see time in this tournament. It's the fiercest fight on the roster at the moment. The youngest of the three goaltenders, Jakub Skarek, could be on the outside looking in at the moment. Skarek is draft eligible in 2 seasons. He is currently ranked #45 by the I.S.S.
The two goaltenders who look to have the inside track are David Hrenak of Slovakia, and Milan Kloucek of Czech Republic. Both undrafted, these two goaltenders have seen their stock rise as they are both enjoying some solid years in tough leagues. It seems as if David Hrenak of Slovakia may get the start for game 1.
It should be an interesting tournament as these to foreign nations form a union in hopes to capture Gold.
