Sabres Trade Rumours
UFA's available as well as some veterans
Yesterday the Sabres let it be known publically that they are now willing to move out veteran talent in the quest for youth via draft picks and prospects. There were rumours swirling around the franchise for some time that players on expiring contracts could be available, and now we have an answer.
So who's available you ask? Lets take a look at their current trade block and what is required to land these players:
Tyler Bozak - I've had numberous tire kickers for Bozak. A late 1st rounder gets him. I could be willing to discuss a 2nd or 3rd if a prospect I like is involved.
Alec Martinez - I've also had a few GM's kick the tires on Martinez. I think his value is similar to Bozak, so the return will have to be along those lines.
Jason Pominville - He's got decent ratings this year, so I'll start at a 2nd rounder or a prospect I like.
Benoit Pouliot - He's rated very poorly this season, so mid to late pick or a B type prospect will do it.
Vernon Fiddler - About the same as Pouliot value wise.
Ok, those are the obvious names available and the ones I will be focused on moving now. You can certainly ask for other players but have an offer in mind, cause I won't.
