Here is the strength of schedule to show who has the easy road and who's proven they can beat the best. This is divided into 3 categories.
First is what the SoS is for the entire season,
second is the SoS for games they already played, and
third is the SoS for the reminder of the schedule.
This isn't perfect since there are tankers that skew the charts, but we can see who the real contenders will be when it comes to the playoffs. There are several top teams like Canadians and Flames that have the some of the hardest schedule in the league, yet they are at the top. They are going to be serious contenders no matter who they play. The teams that had the easiest road so far will be questioned throught the playoffs. I will have to defy my own chart to show that my team is the best even though I have had the easiest road in the league up to now. Remaining SoS will only really effect the teams vying for final spots. Let's take a quick look...
EAST
Hurricanes have a very tough road, while the Penguins have a substantially easier road. Sabres are still in it and are in the middle when it comes to difficulty. It will be interesting to see how that plays out for the final spot. If the Pens do not make the playoffs, it will be a HUGE disappointment.
WEST
The west have basically locked up the playoff teams with the closest team being 9 games back of the final playoff spot.
