Ty has been anything but irrelevant these days. With his recent draft activity that followed a long, hard playoff push last season, he finds himself, yet again, heading into a season with lots of question marks. He's got an okay forward group, but one that drops off sharply after its top line... some D-men that complement each other's styles, but don't wow.... and maybe most importantly, a starting goaltender barely running on fumes. He's got some cap space, but is in the hole financially, so he won't be getting any bargains during free agency. The 3rd and 4th spot in the Atlantic could be up for grabs though, especially if Garrett decides he doesn't want to compete. Ty's focus will squarely be on landing a starting goalie. Without that, he will for sure be on the outside looking in, yet again.
Biggest Strength: Young forward depth

You can tell that Brayden is only related to the Cordells by marriage, and not blood. How can I tell, you ask? His rebuild is actually going quite well. After Steph ran this franchise half into the ground, I thought for sure that the Sens were not salvageable. Brayden has been patient, has made some astute moves, and quite frankly, did fantastic at our recent draft. Unfortunately, this is not an overnight rebuild. He is still at least a couple years away. But he has some fantastic prospects, tons of quality draft picks over the next couple of seasons, and has cap to burn. UPL is certainly a young tendy that every GM in this league would love to have. Sixth though, is probably the best he can finish, so don't expect a miracle playoff run unless he kills free agency and mortgages some of the future.
Biggest Strength: Quality draft picks and great youth on the backend / in net
